April 20-June 1, Winthrop Harbor: Located on the Wisconsin/Illinois border, this is the place to experience some for the fastest and best early season Coho Salmon and Steelhead action possible on Lake Michingan. You will be catching limits of these fish as well as Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout and King Salmon.
June 1-October 31, Kewaunee Harbor: This is the place to be for Lake Michigan’s best summer and fall fishing. Kewaunee offers the deepest points on Lake Michigan.
These cooler water temperatures hold large quantities of trophy size King Salmon and Rainbow Trout. June through September is the best time for battling these “Kings” with catches in the 20 to 30 pound class or greater.
